I updated the thread for the gathering but those of you who aren't in South Central may not be aware but my first teardrop gathering, and the first time to use the teardrop was this weekend at a local lake. Many of the usual suspects were there, and I was glad to meet so many people from here. I couldn't come on Friday pulled in around 3:30-4pm Sat thinking I still had plenty of time to do everything but by the time the hello's were only half done, it was pot luck time, and I hadn't even started my brats! Spinnernut just said that we already had vast amounts of food but to keep em handy.

So after eating which was awesome, I went back and set up my sun shade and got organized.

Spinnernut gave me a working grille that has it's own fold down legs, and I am gonna be using it! More pics of the gathering are in the Joe Pool thread of the South Central area. My teardrop is official!

Thomas,
I'm glad I got the chance to meet you and see your teardrop. The pictures on the website, while good, don't really do your TD justice. It looks even better in person.

Thomas,
I've been following your build and it turned out very, very nice.

I'll be taking a stroll over to site 51 at LCG IV when I arrive, to view it up close.

 Look'n Good.

Thank you everyone! I am so happy!

Tom, you were in person exactly as I thought you would be! A very personable low key Teardrop kinda guy just like me, and thank you!

Sharon, It was funny that no one mentioned it but the whole section that we reserved when I arrived was underwater due to all the rain so they closed that section and relocated us all TOGETHER to another section! It was really accommodating of them and there were just two spots open when I showed and I chose the more private shaded one. The other one I would have gotten more exposure, but there were no trees, I like my trees, so it was a great spot!

Thanks to everyone else too and hmmm "Looks good in the woods".. I'm gonna steal that phrase! Thanks!
Thomas

Those grill to go's are great. Fantastic for eggs and bacon in the morning. We use a friend's when we go on the river trip in canoes. I do not think that they make them any more.

I will give you a piece of advice with that grill though. Empty the grease bottle shortly after cooking because it takes some mighty hot water to get the grease out after it has cooled and solidified.

It was good finally seeing your tear Thomas. Nice job!

My wife was amazed at how many people yelled "Thomas" as you drove by on Saturday. She wondered what was so special about you.
