Silver Beatle - She's now with an old friend!

 I've come to the conclusion that my design for the interior cabinet at the bulkhead was way to complicated...but I'm at the point of no return.

I'm in full court press mode to get the Silver Beatle finished by the end of August. :worship: So...good thing the temperature cooled down a little this evening. (This is at 8:00 p.m.)

Looks like the weekend is going to be nice too.

I finished the bottom panel by cutting holes for the speakers.

Then, it was primer time again.

(Yes Scott - the paint was drying coming out of the nozzle/gun.)

Take care,
Tom

:sweaty: I don't know how you can work in that heat, Tom. My hat is off to you.

:scratchthinking: Looking at your cabinet pieces, I can't imagine what it is going to look like when it is put together. However, I have no doubt that it will look every bit as dazzling as what you have already shown us.

The cabinets are going to look great. Is it hard to spray them when it's that hot. Seems like the paint would dry as soon as it hits the surface. Can't wait to see them inside the TD. :applause:

Good morning y'all. With your nice comments, I have remained motivated despite the heat.

Yesterday, we had some wet stuff falling from the sky - not sure what it was - but it did make the temperature about 20 degrees cooler than it had been for the last month.

I'm at the "gotta do this before I can do that" stage of my build. I need to get moving on finishing my electrical system, but I had to get my galley cabinets in, then the counter surface installed, then upper galley cabinets installed. (The converter installs in the left galley cabinet.) So...time to install the lower galley cabinet components. (I hope they fit. :worship: )

First up - set the cases temporarily in place, then install the face frame and fasten the cases to the face frame:

Then - install the drawers:

Then, install the cabinet doors and drawer fronts:

I still need to adjust the doors, and install the door and drawer pulls, but I'm happy that everything fits.

Take care and thank you for looking,
Tom

I like your choice of the ebony finish on the cabinets to contrast with the warm wood of the surrounding walss. It is clean. Nice job.
