Hi Tom, great concept with a fantastic finish on your cabinets there sir!!! :applause: :applause: :applause: Are you planning on continuing the ebony look for your counter top? You've got to be very proud to finally finishing up your galley; what a gem!

Cheers,

Dave

The SB is looking beautiful, Tom. You are sure keeping me humble, but in a very positive way...

Cabinets look great Tom!

Clean look and the "dark - light" contrast really looks good!

Nice job Tom

Your galley layout looks somewhat familiar

Tom,
Your galley cabinets are looking beautiful!
Love the black stain look. What's you plan for the countertop?

Y'all are embarassing me. Thank you again for the nice comments.

I've wrestled with what to use for my countertop finish. There's already alot of different materials, colors and textures on the SB. Another criteria for the counter was for it to seem "old school".

So...this is what I'll be using:

Image

It is mosaic glass tile. I know it is not intended to be used for counters, but my thought was that it would help tie together the different colors already on my teardrop. The red matches my wheel color, the black goes with my cabinets and fenders, and the white goes with the underside of the hatch and the white wall tires. (The countertop edging will be polished aluminum trim.)

Hopefully I'll get time to install the glass tile this weekend. Grouting may have to wait until after the Loyd Park outing.

 Gig'em, Tom

Sweet! I wish you lived close to me I would loan you my MK Diamond wet saw for the tile and help you with the wiring just to be able to see your trailer in person! Keep up the great work, Jim

That will look very cool.

Have you used the glass mosaics before? If not, be very careful cutting them - I did a mosaic course in Spain a while ago and the only cutters they reccommended for glass tiles were these types:

Keep up the great build. :)

Tom, looks great, did ya ever think you would be an interior decorator?
Will this be ready for the Halloween trip?

It should be ready for the LCG gathering. Of course, I've said the same statement for the last two LCGs. The Beavers Bend outing in March was our maiden voyage so our teardrop is campable.

I was hoping to be at the 95% stage for the Loyd Park outing in September, but I'm not so sure about that. (Let's hope the temperature has dropped some by then.)

Looking forward to seeing it at LCG, it appears we will be somewhat close to each other.
