Thanks for the reply,Its nice to get a bit of feedback and encouragement. Its the bargain buys that keep the build costs down. At the moment im well under the £200 mark and on track to build cheeper than the Scavenger Unfortunately no bargains at the boot fair today

Nothing done on the build this shift off, but i did manage to get Scavenger 1 washed off. Took it round the block for a bit of a shakedown and dry off, and managed to get back over an hour later. Everyone i new flagged me down to have a looksy
Any way, today i was karate kid and did a bit of wax on,wax off. four hours solid and very sore arms, i managed to get all but a bit above the hatch polished

Not done a lot over the last couple of weeks, and with the possibility of me loosing my job, things might be a bit slow in the future. But, yesterday i recieved a pair of Morris 1100 rear lights in the post, near on perfect, and just right for the back of number 2. And best of all won on the bay for 99p. Just got to figure out where abouts to fit them

Thats a lot better than the £15 I paid for the pair I got for the Grizz-Pod last year at Battlesbridge show.

Ask dave about polishing the lettering off them, it does make a difference to the look.

Good luck with not losing your job..... we are also looking at redundancies in the medium to short term future.
Greetings from England.

Rian.

Hoping to get it all done in time.

After clearing the garage out to make room for my toolbox, just incase i loose my job tomorrow, i thought i would have an hour or two taking my mind of things
I started of by drilling all the holes and fitting the 10 x 12v LED decking lights into the ceiling, luckily they all plug together, but getting the wire routing took a bit of time
Image

Had to make sure they worked
Image

Then i dropped them back down and gave the ceiling its first lick of paint

Steve!

Is it too late to arrange the installation of additional LEDs into your ceiling into the form of a celestial constellation?

:dancing

Kidding, that. I am actually impressed by your arrangement: Very little amp draw yet a flood of soft light...

I like the tail lights, too. I know they're Morris, yet they remind me of the ones fitted to Type 3 veedubs.

Chris, I had thought of making the possitioning of the lights a bit more random, but it would have meant drilling more holes in the roof spars. As it is there is enough light to sit with your back to the headboard locker and be able to read.
I do have a Christmas net light with 120 led`s, but i thought that would be overkill, and one hell of a bitch to lay onto the ceiling

Im keeping an eye on your build too Chris, the frame design is awsome :applause:

Its been a few months now since my last post. Not a lot has been done on the build due to an unexpected need to get a new job, the starting of a west wing extension to the house, and a general lack of enthusiasm
But now the colder wether is here, and the garage is a bit cleaner i can start again. over the last couple of weeks ive managed to reclaim some plystyrene packaging and lay it into the roof as insulation. Hopefully i will manage to get the ply skin on then
Feel free to comment

Good to see you posting again, Steve. Just read through your postings again, it has been a while since you've been able to work.
It is cooling of here also, after mine is mostly done. Look forward to seeing more building, and more finds.

Cheers Butch, its nice to get a bit of feedback. There should be a couple mire pics soon, ive started skinning the roof with the ply. Starting in the middle with the 3 sheets, and then trimming and sanding as i reach the outside edges. Found this the easiest way, as one side seems to be in feet and inches, and the other in metric :o
