Ok don't make fun of me but my wife and I quilt together! She does it all the time and if I want something made I have to help. So here are two blankets I've made for Ethel so I can keep warm on those chilly nights when we camp in the fall.

As you can see this one isn't done we've been busy and I've been back at the shop working on Ethel trying to get her done. The second one is twice the size as what you see. I just didn't want to unfold all the way. And you can tell we have a nosey cat that loves the camera.

Why would we laugh? Other men on the forum quilt, too. Doug Hodder makes a quilt to go with every trailer he builds. I'll bet he'll eventually chime in about that.

Good Job! :applause:

PS. If you haven't seen it, here is Doug's latest quilt. Scroll down just a bit to see it:

Now when it comes to Ethel she's not interested but she loves to quilt and honestly I don't mind it either. I guess you could say I get the helper jobs of pinning or ironing but I do sew a bit I got her a new machine for Christmas and me and it don't get along too well which really ticks me off cause that damn thing cost me over 2k. But she loves it so that's all that really matters I guess. But yes I must say that Doug puts out a nice product, both in the build and quilt.

Looks great Ben.

Not sure if it is my computer monitor refresh rate but the first picture of your quilt jumps out like it is 3D and
moving. Where your cat is on the edge, it tends to flatten out. I guess the body of the cat break the optical
effect. We will not laugh, (much) , at you for quilting. I know I got tired of spending my money for stripes,
patches, and name tags every year so I have my own machine.

Keep it up.

I thought that close corner was supposed to be turned outward. You mean that the other three aren't done the same way?

Looks great to me either way!

I did not catch it. Without seeing the left and right corner I thought it was planned.

Only one word to say now. Seam ripper.

I think it looks fine, even with the one corner different. Sort of like modern art where the pattern is rigid and conforming except for that one element that says, "to every rule there is an exception".
