So did you move closer to Kendallville?

I got a couple RC boats as well, course I bet mine are a bit older than yours. All packed away in the garage.
Dumas DeepVee40 with a K&B .45
Octura White Heat plywood shovel nose Hydro with an OS .45
'Glass monohull MicroBurst with an OS .67
and a Miss T-Pluss 12v electric Hydro.
Was fun stuff on the 25 acre lake I'm on, but it's been sooo long since I ran them. (or even set foot in Phil's on Lake Street!)

Looking at your new digs, welcome to the world of mowing more lawn than we like!
I have gone to find myself.
If I should return before I get back, please ask me to wait.

Just finished reading most of this thread...at 49 pages, build not even finished, and folks following like a cult, I think this qualifies for "epic"...

just like the build! Truly awesome and inspiring. Keep on rockin´this board!

Thanks Hepcat! Glad you're enjoying it. Taking a break from the build for a bit until we get settled into the new place. Stay tuned!

Hey Hoosier... A couple things. First, nice collection of boats! The T-Plus was driven by Steve David, who was my hero back in the day. We ended up becoming friends over the years and he is now the Chairman of H-1 and was instrumental in getting me on a team. And a final sad note... PHIL'S HOBBY SHOP on Lake, and of my favorite hang outs, no longer exists. :( A moment of silence, please...

I think it is important to take your time settling so you can enjoy returning to the build.

OP I agree... Setting up a Homestead isn't easy but we're getting there! Too many projects! And Hoosier... Phil's son is carrying on the family name, in a new store out west of town. In a shopping plaza. But it's far from the place that you and I know and love. I went there twice, didn't like it either time and started buying my stuff online. Sad, really.

Regarding the Astroliner... Carrie and I recently bought a couple acres out in the country, with a home built in 1948, a stocked pond and plenty of room for some livestock and gardens. So, we've been tirelessly working every night into the wee hours to get things ready to move in. So the coach is on hold for a bit until we get settled. Give me a couple weeks and hopefully I can give an update! Thanks for following...

Michael,

Hopefully, y'all are moved in and things are getting settled. If you have a chance please give us an update whether its about the new homestead or your TTT.

Take care,
Tom

Those interior pieces have an awesome glow! That paint job rocks. This is such a cliff hanger! Read from the beginning and watched what I thought was a boat build! Ah the itchy plastic taste of glass. Your craftsmanship show on this beauty! I can't wait to see the launch of the Astroliner!

You have an awesome build going Michael. A build of divine craftsmanship of epic proportions. Seems like it is going to be along the lines of a show piece more than a camper. My hat is off to you sir!

I read thru every post on this build so far, and like all the others here, we are patiently waiting to see the end result, and most of us hate you (kidding) for having the dream job that you do. And the fact that you have more craftsmanship and attention to details in your little finger than I have had in my entire life.

I'm very humbled by the comments and support from you all. Thank you each and every one. We're doing our best to take care of things at home right now and I'm bearing down at the race shop in preparation for the upcoming race season. This forum has a wealth of information here and many highly skilled individuals with amazing projects developing right before our eyes! We apologize for the temporary break in the action but stay tuned... The Astroliner Project will return shortly! And remember...You can do anything you set your mind to!

Have to say, you have done great work on your trailer. Can't wait to see it get finished but I understand the remodel. I'm in the middle of adding a bathroom to our house. Just a note, Phils on Clinton is still open. I buy all my cyanoacrylate (super glue) from them to use as a finish on the pens I make. My father in law used to work there.
