I might need some help with colors, trim ideas and stuff like that. You know when I built my teardrop Kerry finished the trim on it with photoshop

  I actually worked today, for a change, and Kim got me to decorate the outside of the house for the trick or treaters when I got home.

I hope to put the roof on this weekend. I'm going to prebend the plywood on a jig and while it is bent put CPES on it to see if it will hold some of the curve. Whata ya think?

I was think about that very same thing, only in reverse. I was wondering if you put CPES on a piece of 1/8 birch, would it make it harder to follow a curve?

I was wondering why the water balloon was getting bigger... and then it hit me.

Wiring suprises

Postby Steve_Cox » Sat Nov 01, 2008 1:08 pm

I was verifying the 12 volt wiring again and found one of my lighting ground wires isn't working. Guess that is a good reason to put wires in a raceway instead of in the walls like I did. Not a problem, just a delay, seems it was a faulty butt splice (inside the front wall) :( I had considered putting the wiring under the trim on the interior, that's the way I'd always done it in boats, but no, I took the easy way and just drilled holes in the framing to run the wires in the walls. Another lesson learned.

Speaking of wiring, I got a deal on E-bay on a 30 Amp 12 volt power converter with automatic battery charging. $36 + shipping. It was unused but a couple of years old.

Can you post straight-on of the side and front to mock up? Or a 45degree corner? I'd like to work something up ... just for fun.

I'll roll it out tomorrow and take a few updated pictures(if it's not raining), side, front, back, 45 degree. This sounds like fun  .......

edit:

Here ya go! I stuck the back window in for the pictures. Modern RV window isn't quite gypsy wagonish, but I couldn't beat the price for an opening awning window that size. About $50 on E-bay.

Hi John,

 Ok first of all, I don't care how ya say it up North. 8) Middle is is in the center down here.

I put the center piece on first so I could clamp both sides (front and back) to the roof spars.

That would work as well

Seriously though, did you find plans somewhere? Or, is this your own creation? Or, perhaps a little of both? Regardless, I really~really love these little trailers!

Eric,

This is totally my creation (I say as I work myself into a corner). I built on a HF frame so it would be easy for just about any handi-person to make one like it. Here is a small sampling of my inspiration for building
