Nice tear and a shiny one at that. After you get Daves done can you take a trip here to polish ours?    :shake hands:

A bucket of autosol awaits and a fresh cup a tea ;)

Rigsby wrote:Cheers Butch, its nice to get a bit of feedback. There should be a couple mire pics soon, ive started skinning the roof with the ply. Starting in the middle with the 3 sheets, and then trimming and sanding as i reach the outside edges. Found this the easiest way, as one side seems to be in feet and inches, and the other in metric :o

Steve, I'm sure glad you noticed the difference in measurements. I was afraid it was just an "old guy" thing.

Just a quick update on the build. Finally after much perseverance, sweat and tears, I removed the final piece of ply that wouldnt bend round the front of the tear (even after soaking in a bath of hot water), and i replaced it with hardboard with extra bracing at the rear of it. Im just waiting for the glue to harden before i can get it sanded and sealed

Also picked up today, 7 8x4 sheets of 1mm aluminium at £10 a piece, BARGAIN, but still a big hit on the pocket !

Not enough comments to motivate you? ;) Where are the rest of the pics? You finish the build? It is like reading a book, and then noticing that the last chapter is missing from the book. I have been going through the build journals for inspiration and think that yours is very inspiring with all of the scavenge and boot sale finds. Thank you,

That glue has to be hard by now. What's next?
