For the price you can’t beat a simple Delta Contractor Table saw. I don’t like all the new plastic ones like
Ryobi and Dewalt. The Delta is simple and easy to trick out. This is mine all tricked out.

I use same Rockler Twist Plus Link adjustable belt. best thing to make a saw run smooth. I did spend a
few $$$ on a used Incra Fence set up.

tat is an awesome saw table Junkboy! I wish I had room for something like that. My workshop is half of a 10 x 20 backyard shed, and a portable garage tent

That sounds a lot like my workshop. I'm using half of my 12' x 24 screened back porch for my workbench, storage cabinet/shelving units, drill press and bench-top band saw. My table saw sits on the open, but covered, end of the porch. My cut-off saw is under the portable garage behind the Pop Top where I used it last.

Not much new to report. Fill and sand, sand and fill. A friend of mine has a 10 year old daughter named Samantha. She has a very sharp interest in any sort of construction and buildiong project. The messier and more complicated, the more she is interested. The kid is born to be an engineer I think.
Well, There was a lot of filler to put in seams and screw holes in the roof, and she is a tiny thing, less than 50 pounds, so...

She had a blast and it worked out very well :D

Finally had a day to work on the Command Post again! Got most of the first stage sanding done. anout 2 hours more and it will be done. Then I'll need to mix a little more body filler and hit the little voids and cracks that showed up, and do the final sanding.

Hello Jeff: It is looking very good. I really like this trailer's style. I want to build one of these Squidgets too.
Keep going, It'll Get Done... :)

Thanks. :)
It's a good design. Dale did a great job on the planning. I just needed to modify it a bit to fit a big ol' boy like me :D

Re: "Hypno-Toad's Command Post." Putting on the fiberglass s

Postby jeff0520 » Tue Apr 30, 2013 10:25 pm

Well, my truck is broken down in the shop AGAIN.....So I guess it's time to work on the camper! :D
With the first planned camping trip 3 weeks away, It's about darned time I make some progress.
Just praying I get it campable in time :worship:

My expected help on fiberglass was unable to make it due to illness, so I had to do a two person job alone. As a result, my seams and overlaps are NOT as straight as I'd hoped, but they were the bast I could accomplish alone. :(
I'm hoping that paint will mostly make the irregular look go away.

"Hypno-Toad's Command Post." Primer done, two coats!

Postby jeff0520 » Sun May 12, 2013 7:02 pm

Hello all,
I got two coats of primer shot today. The planned maiden voyage is in 8 days, so I've got a LOT to do!

I'm so glad I don't have to worry about UV problems with the epoxy any more :D
Once I get the white paint shot and dried, I'll get windows, door, and roof vent installed. Then I'll try ti get at least the rudamentery bed frame built so we aren't on the floor for the upcoming trip. There won't be time for electrical or anything like that.

"Hypno-Toad's Command Post." First coat of paint and a bumpe

Postby jeff0520 » Mon May 13, 2013 9:57 pm

Today I shot a coat of white. It needs a second coat for sure. I also got my long-awaited bumper assembly fit up. I need to tack a couple of temporary tail light attachment points on. for the camping trip next week I'm going to mount the cheap and crappy taillights that came with the harbor freight chassis to a couple of tabs made out of the harbor freight fender brackets. This is just to get it legal for the upcoming trip. Later I'll put tail lights on the flat spot on the back where they go.

You're getting there but you're right. You still have a lot to do.
It's looking impressively good, though.

Wishing you sunny weather for your first trip. :goodmorning:
