Sorry for the delay... Been on the West Coast a lot of the summer for the race season . Nothing going on at all at home with the Astroliner. But... It's been a great season because we won the most prestigious, most coveted and the oldest trophy in Motorsports history. The Gold Cup!

I just finished up the season in San Diego California, so now maybe I can get back to the build. Yours is going great keep up the good work!

Yes, congrats on the championship!

Dale, you're doing a great job, too! Don't you just love trying to get all of those wires to be nice and tidy? Sometimes it seems to be impossible, like herding cats.

What cap did you use to access your fishing rods. I love the idea. I think it will be better than trying to stuff all of them in the tow vehicle and closing the door on one of them! Your build looks great.

Hi Dale,
I have just had a catch up with what you have been up to over the last few months. Congratulations on your new job, looks like something you should enjoy and the regular pay cheques will help with budgeting on the TD build.
The trailer base is coming together well. Those drawer slides sure are monsters, how much weight will they take when fully extended? How long are they.
What brand are the disc calipers you have used? My Dale is always telling me, she would like it better if our teardrop had brakes. The weight of it, they are not required and if towing it withthe X-Trail or the Supersnipe it is no issue, but behind the Capris I have to be a lot more cautious.
Keep up the good work

Welcome back mate.
The brake disks and calipers ect are from a place in melborne called Hunsman Products.
They are realy easy to fit and have a weld on mount for the caliper and while these discs are landcrusier pattern and larger you can get them in holden and ford.
If you check out thier website you can view the products and contact them via email to see if they have suppliers there.
If they dont they have an ebay shop and would probably ship to you or id be only to happy to help.
The draw slides....
They are rated to hold 225kg fully extended at 500mm in lenth but these are 1300 in lenth so that would probably halve.
I went to see the guy folding up my draws on Thursday and hes convinced me not to use them....
The issue with them is if they get dust and stuff in the bearing cages the wear out...
Im planning a desert crossing at some stage and once this campers together it will be a major to take apart and ill probably break something...
So im going back to my first plan and using sealed bearings and 20x50 duragal box section for slides. Im working on redesigning it right now.
So basicly i wasted 500 bucks and its cost me about 250 in parts to go the other route.
