pop up sunroof

Postby PhotoGuy » Sun Sep 19, 2010 12:02 am

Hello everyone.

I am still planning my first build. And I was thinking. It would be nice to lay in bed at night and look at the stars> I have seen some builds with a "glass" roof but that is to much for me. I was thinking about installing a pop up sun room over the head of the bead. Has anyone done this?

As fall is now on use here in SW Ontario and my photo business very busy.. I think I may have to push my build off till next spring.

We are planning a similar window, although it will be fixed and not 'pop up'. Just been waiting for a clear, long & narrow window to show up on ebay or something.

Where is everyone finding the little bubble windows for the sides? I would like to install a sunroof and a couple of the little teardrop windows. I saw the little teardrop shaped windows somewhere a few months back but cannot recall where. They sure look nice in a TDrop.

I’ve seen one guy use the Ford Pinto round windows. Custom Van in the 70’s 80’s have all short of shapes for windows. might find some in the junk yards.

I been wondering if the Doggy porthole with work. Google image it.

I didn't know what the Pinto reference meant but I found out:
