Thanks Earl those are my $33 dollar Hehr windows I bought off ebay! With shipping was $80 and they even resent me the trim rings for 3/4" walls. All I had to do was purchase the correct sheet metal screws for them. I liked the fact the are tinted and have a seperatescreen that will pull out, as I think I may just do like the old lil guys did and vent the a/c thru the window there.

Well last night and today was a day of small steps mainly just sanding and staining the interior, both inside of the doors, the shelf I'm cutting down to fit tomorroe and the galley sides. Not really staing as just putting clear gloss polyurethane on it as we both love the light colored look of the birch. I installed so dark color shoemold on the inside and scribe at the headliner and wall junction. Then I installed the electrical channel under the inside cabinets. Tomorrow morning I'm going to start drilling the holes in the door hinges and will mount to the doors after I cut the drivers side out for the window. I've also need to figure out what I want to do about the a/c. I had thought about doing like Shadowcatcher did but I just don't like cutting in the 2 ports for the a/c although have already picked them up. Thought about just making a third door that we just put up when we want to run it king of like Barb did on her tear that she sold to Bill Z. I have plenty  of extra door blanks that just nrrd to be trimmed to fit. Well tomorrow I will take some more pics and add them to the thread. Also had my neoghbor down the street come by and look at it and tell me he would be interested in me building one for him ! I said nope but if he was interested I would help this fall. Gave the website to come and get some ideas for it. Well night all.

Cliff & Sheri

ps: we did decide on what to call it! I wanted to call it the gas chanmber but Sheri did n't like that one  :? although not sure why? So we did decide to call it The Black Hole ! I guess because it seens I just keep dumping money in .

Thanks Larry!

Ok today not as much progress as I would have liked, it was just hot! But I did somethings on my list to make sure I was ready for my friend to come and wire it next weekend. I mounted the Elixer 25A main box in the galley area:
Image

Then installed the electrical run with its 2 boxes and 12v outlet:

Then the shelf over our heads and even though its not in this pic the map reading lights in the center back of the shelf:

Then a pic of the driver side inside door after staining:

Image

still need to cut the window out for the door but that may be later this week as I will on;y be gone a couple of days this week. And finally to give you an idea of my work area:

Image

My garage has too much stuff in it to work in there and to hot! I'd rather thow my canopy up and work under it with my fan so I can catch the breeze when its blowing, plus I don't mind pissing the HOA off when I can . Well thats it for this weekend, have a goodnight all!

Cliff & Sheri (who sweated out there with me today to hold the stuff so I could attach it to the wall.)

Ok this is the shelf

Cliff,

You better sandbag the legs down on the canopy if left out unatended. The wind makes them fly like a kite, then gravity gunches them to ribbons. Then you won't have your "cool" spot. :x

Thanks Kent, enjoying your build also.

Chuck what is not in the pic is the canopy leg weights I install after I took the pic. Learned the hard way on my other canopy that did the same as yours, I'm just fixing it because the cheapest canopy that compares is over $200.

Thanks Kirk not quite up to yours yet but hopefully ne there in a couple of weeks!

Thanks Jbyrd it should be labeled "The How Not To Build A Teardrop". If I do it over I would not use a landscape trailer unless I take it down to the angle on the bottom w/o the mesh on the floor and the sides cut down. It would have made it alot easier on the build!

Cliff I too have been struggling with a name. Gas Chamber is PERFECT! But like you my wife will not go for it. No way. That would look soooo cool dragging down the freeway "GAS CHAMBER". :applause:  :applause:
