S.S. Minnow

Just getting in the groove on my teardrop, fenders are next, mattress, finish sleep quarters and kitchen after that. I want an electric fireplace heater in the nose above the bed.

Just playing around with GIMP ( paint program )

That would be kool to have a fake fireplace coving the hole to the front of the boat. And if it could swing out
like mounted on a hinge cabinet door.

Somewhere I have a VHS of a fireplace burning. I’ll have to move that to a DVD. I can just play that on my
little laptop dvd player.

MJ, that is one cool teardrop you've built! Do you have any earlier construction pictures? I'd like to see how you built the curved sidewalls.

I have no history of the original build, and it has a PTI plate titled 2013 special construction

I try to find rare models to restore, I finished a 1959 Floride Renault Convertible last year and a 1946 Kit teardrop, I want to use this trailer to haul and display my art at various shows around Lake Tahoe, and I will hang netting on the sides to display my solar pyrography and use the flat top to show my welded critters.

Sweet artwork

The Floride is a nice looking Renault. My dad had a Renault caravelle cabriolet and a R10. I also had an
R10 as my first car. He would not let me of my brother drive the Caravelle.

 Hehehe

Look like you’ll fit in Nicely on the forum.

looks like the same guy, this one was listed on craigslist, the story someone posted was a guy out west made a few before he gave up. I love the design, though I would be tempted to add a "center console" to the roof...

That is how I bought it, I first saw it a year ago, took me a while to finish other projects and it was still available, and now it is mine.

That's pretty darn cool! And, it's not "stuck in Lodi" anymore! It would be nice if you could find a small boat to fit on top of it. It does look like it should have one there; and, yes, it looks like a small electric fireplace would look great inside that nose area. Maybe that's what the original builder had in mind when he made it that way. Congratulations on you purchase! Please keep us informed of your updates to it. :applause:

Welcome MillieJohn from another Northern Nevadan! Very cool trailer you have there, quite unique indeed. There's getting to be a pretty good group of teardrop trailers in the area and some great gatherings planned this summer that you might be interested in. You'll find a lot of them in either the South West (yeah I know, we aren't in the south west but there it is) or the Jefferson State sections. Great to have you aboard.

All the Best,

Dave

Got a good coat of Varnish and floor paint done, next is the wiring and LED lights, a full size air mattress fits for bed, then I finish off the nose with stereo and fireplace.

I build, rebuild, sell about 6 vintage trailers a year, I like to find rare, unusual trailers, or I make my art while waiting for the next big/little thing to come around.
