Well I jumped off the fence and started cutting and grinding, or in other words getting my (5'x10' flat bed) trailer ready to build. [/attachment]

Cut out side rail out for door, and took cross member out to install a 4" to 6" dropped floorall depends on overall final design.

Well leaning toward an over size teardrop, 5'W x 10'L x 5'5" Tall, then with the dropped floor, room to stand.

How is the trailer upper rail going to look or work with the side wall of the tear? I see you cut the door out, but what about the rest? Also rail with front and back curve on the tear?

I had a similar trailer and debated doing the same as you for added trailer strength, but ended up cutting it all down. My cut down trailer was really flimsy until I attached the new deck.

I'm not sure yet, I did box the dropped floor in with 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 x 3/16th angle flipped and welded to the underside of frame 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 angle making a boxjpg[/attachment]

I too am doing a drop floor but I am using it as a basement. If you want you can look at the sketch up of it so far, it might help give you some ideas.
