Big Benroy style ( 6x10)

Postby Weirdnerd » Mon Sep 01, 2014 4:12 pm

I got a trailer frame last winter to make a "hunting" teardrop, sort of big and tall to wade around in mud or rough roads, I had to change the spring perches as they were rattling, weld some loose screen and change the wheel pants...

Last week I got to sand and paint, lots of hard work power wash, and spray gun with a rustoleum gloss black, cleaned and greased bearings, new bearing back seals, and remount of the wheel hubs and tires.

Then on Friday, I went to buy a lot of wood, plywood and 1.5 inch insulation rigid foam, and started cutting wood....I also drank one gallon of tang.

tarred the whole underside with two coats of roofing tar, I made a sticky mess, thanks god for paint thinner to clean my hands.

Then on Saturday morning I got to assemble the flooring...lots of saw dust...

on the afternoon I got to build the walls...I was on a roll, and only had one coffee in the morning!!!

On Sunday I finished the sides with provisional bracing at around 8:30 pm...by then I was a soaking mess, too hot and covered in saw dust, wife was looking at me like I was a madman or something....

Today in the morning I put the stiffeners for the walls... I may need to work on the doors tough....but now I am resting....

Whew!!!
