Plan is:
5x9 size
skeleton walls
aluminum skin
no power (led tap lights instead)
doors, hurricane hinge and latch kit from vintage technologies.
we already have a lot of camping gear so our galley will be mainly storage with out a built in stove or anything.
We want to be budget minded but not skimp on materials so our trailer last a long while.
This is our rough barely to scale profile we are shooting for. Subject to change of course.
We were searching for our trailer but I was unhappy of the quality for the price we wanted to spend so we decided to build our own. I was lucky enough to have a friend do the welding since I can't get a glove over my left hand. The body is 2x2x3/16 angle, the toungue is 3 inch 4.1 pound channel. The leaf springs are from a sukuki samuri so they should be sprung well for our target weight of 1000 pounds. I have 600 dollars in our trailer as it sits with paint. Hope to have the floor in by the end of the week.
