Bought a trashed 1947 Kenskill. It had been setting in a field for many many years. Didn't find any dead animals but plenty of evidence of residence.
A good bit of damage to the aluminum under the doors. I suspect someone high centered it or ran over something they shouldn't have. Worse on one side.
There was a stove in the galley, but apparently it's not the good one....?
The wood was a little rough.
The front cabinets were not in bad shape but I need the head room. Leaving them out gains 8".
I have since moved into a house with a garage. Thank goodness. Since the sheet aluminum was corroded and in pretty rough shape, I decided to go with a brushed look. It won't be perfect but hey...
Starting fab on a replacement frame. I want it longer to accommodate a box up front.
Rough fitting the sides so I can figure out the rest of the frame.
It's parked in a weird spot because the cord on the welder I was using was too short.
A rolling frame. Not to mention severely overbuilt.
The above frame weighs less the original below. Crazy! (I don't remember why I had it lifted like that...)
Fender and lights on, almost ready to register as maybe a motorcycle hauler?
You might be wondering what the receiver on the back is for. Good question. I'm going to either use one of those hitch carriers for my kids tents & stuff, or it's going to connect a 2nd trailer with dirt bikes on it. Eventually.
