My 100% garage built teardrop

Maiden voyage. We brought the trailer out to Tuscon AZ for the 24hour of old Pueblo mountain bike race. I was nervous to tow it this far for the first time on the Hwy. it towed perfectly. Couldn’t be happier.

I was really nervous for our first road trip in the trailer but it was a huge success. 4 nights and 1000 miles. We have a few little upgrades we want to incorporate but man what a fun trip.

My 100% garage built teardrop

Postby ricky herbold » Sat Feb 22, 2020 6:12 pm

Last weekend on our first trip, my son wanted to watch a movie as we were going to bed but we had nowhere good to set the iPad. I made a 3 sided frame and routed a 3/8 rabbet in the back to allow the iPad to slide in from the top. I installed it on the inside of the middle cabinet door. Open the door, slide your iPad in and your in business. I even put in a small dado in the side to allow the iPad to be plugged in to stay charged. Simple little project but I think it will come in handy.
