You'll need an app for that. "Resize Image" seems to work well. Ideal pixel size is 640 x 480 for this site.

On pretty much any forum, I go 800 px on the longest side, unless I have reason to upload smaller or larger.

You can even set that up as a preset in XnView and XnConvert - which are available as PC and Android apps. Probably crApple stuff, too. But I don't pay the 750% markup on crApple products. So I don't know.

I use my (home-built) PC for 99.9% of my posts, and depend on Microsoft Paint to resize my photos to generally 600 to 800 pixels wide (unless more detail warrants going larger), and also use Microsoft Photos for enhancing and refining not-so-good images. I tried other apps, both from Microsoft Store and Google Extensions earlier on, but these have been my go-tos for years now. Microsoft (and Google) is a neccessary evil, but "you go with the devil you know, rather than with the devil you don't" (Apple). I've been using MS/Windows and Google/Android since forever, and never saw the need to bite into the (bad) Apple. IMO

As I said previously, I rarely post from my Android devices (no crApple for me, thanks) and tried Tapatalk several times (I keep removing and a year later re-installing the app, hoping it would work better than the last time), but never tried posting photos from there, but others seem to use it all the time. And other mobile apps also work, but somewhow the image sizes are way too big (using lots of bandwidth, selfishly), and I steered away from them. I've always tried to keep to suggested image size on all forums I use.

I’ve done every photo on here from either an I phone or iPad. I guessing since I have upgraded devices to newer models that the resolution of the photos is better requiring more memory/data. I really have no clue. It use to work and now it doesn’t.
