I think I like those drawer latches, can you share what they are.

I got them from Amazon. There are a few different styles available on there. These are the slides I purchased.

Thanks, saved to the camper list.

Was taken by the price until I saw they are heavy duty 250lbs, so really not bad on the price, typical is 75-100lbs for the kitchen cupboards.

Yeah they are a little pricey but they are very heavy duty. I've been happy with them so far. My one complaint is they don't have a drawer removal feature so if you want to take the drawer out for any reason, you have to unscrew it from the slides.

Weird, it's such a simple basic feature of most every other multi rail slide on the market for years.
I'll be done when I'm finished, if that's not fast enough, take a number.

Galley is officially complete. Sealed the drawer slide faces and completed the spice rack. Got it done just in time for our next camping trip. We’re off to the Porcupine Mountains in the U.P. after work Wednesday!

Very nice Cody!

Have fun in the UP, it's definitely a good time to go! My wife and I are planning to make it up to the Porcupine Mountains and Houghton at some point this summer.

Thanks Garth! I've spent a lot of time in the UP, but this is our first trip to the Porkies. We are very much looking forward to it.

Just back from our trip to the Porcupine Mountains. Another successful trip and 900 miles on the camper. Here are a few pics of our trip.

Worked on the cabinet doors for the cabin yesterday. These are the last three pieces of our camper left to build. To keep with the modern “clean” look I’m sticking with birch panel faces with no pulls and inset overlay cabinet hinges. I routed a relief into the back side of the doors for a hand pull and used a forstner bit to drill out the overlay hinges. Just finished the last coat of poly tonight. Hoping to install them tomorrow or Wednesday.

Finished installing the cabinet doors today. I’ll need to add some struts to hold them up when open but I’m happy with how they turned out for how simple they were. With those installed our camper is officially “finished”! Of course there are always accessories to add and things to improve. Next up will be a removable table that will attach the the side exterior of the trailer. Eventually I would like to build a portable propane water heater kit for showers and dishes

My wife was out of town for a conference this week which meant extra shop time in the evenings. I built the removable side table for our trailer it’s 30”x16” Baltic birch topped with a leftover piece of laminate from our galley. This will be a nice functional addition to the camper.

I was working on some miscellaneous items in our camper I stumbled across an issue that could have turned into a nightmare had I not found it. Our 12v fridge rides on a slider and there was an excess of cord for the fridge. You can probably see where this is going. The door face needed to be slightly shimmed on the slider so I removed the fridge and found that the insulation on the power cord had been stripped clean off one of the wires. This was definitely a result of the cord rubbing or being pinched across the drawer sliders as the fridge was being pushed back into the camper. We were super fortunate that it didn't short out our fridge or arc and start a fire while towing down the road. When I installed the fridge I intended to come up with a cable management system, but once we used the trailer a few times and everything seemed to be working okay, it quickly fell off my radar. I'm glad I caught the issue before anything major happened. It was a good reminder to slow down and make sure to consider the worst case ramifications of your design flaws. I installed a cable hanger on the bottom side of the counter top and an insulated hanger on the back of the slider to help manage the excess cord and keep it away from the sliders when moving the fridge in and out.

Nice lesson learned. I will definitely have to keep that in mind when wiring up my fridge here shortly. Thanks for sharing

No problem! If my mistakes save even one person some heartache they are well worth sharing! Your build is looking great btw.

I finished up the cabin cabinets last night with struts I picked up from Amazon. The doors are so light I only ended up needing one strut per cabinet door. I’m super happy with how they turned out. I’m quickly running out of camper projects and it makes me sad! We’re thinking about making custom awnings from Keder rail and cord. I’d like to try making something like the TAB camper sun visors that are made with Keder cord and a fiberglass tent pole.
