Worked on the camper on Friday. Got the rear bulkhead test fitted and the drawer openings routered out.

Sunday-funday! Have the layout of the table done, height is good for us, kitchen sink in place, and one cabinet started. Had to stop because the router bit broke, now waiting on Amazon and after to Christmas to do a little more work.

Pulled the rambler out today. 60 degrees in Indiana. Image
Built the front bulkhead storage today. Need to cut the doors next. Image
What a pain building the rear cabinets. This was the third go around. Now I need to take apart the rear bulkhead, cut out the pass-thru, router the cabinet dividers and pre-fit once again before polyurethane. Image
Better pic of the galley layout.

Built the upper shelf and lower storage unit for the front. Now on to some polyurethane! First two coats are on, now waiting to dry. Leaving for Vegas tomorrow for the new year.

Built the upper shelf...

Your build IS looking great but are you sure the upper shelf isn't a head knocker while sitting?

Just asking for my wife. :frightened:

Indiana Rambler

Update on camper build, spends loads of time polyurethane application, sanding, applying, sanding….. Image
Made the interior fender well housings. 3/4 birtch with 1/8 red oak ply on the outside glued. Image
I fiberglassed the inside for extra protection from the elements. I also put some resin in the kitchen area floor as Tony Latham suggests. I think it’s a good idea as the kitchen can be more open to the elements, and the possibility of “camping kitchen spills”. Image
Once I move to the outside details, I will end up fabricating specific steel fender wells that will attach in them, inside the wheel well. Image
Built the pull out drawer for the stove. Sink and cabinet are there for esthetics for the moment. Image
Installed the front cabinet doors, and installed the hardware and lifting struts for the rear cabinet doors. I need to trim the inside of the cabinets so the doors will fit flush. Image
Image
Image
Started laying the flooring, but of course, I’m half a box short. Image

The floor is looking good!

Will you have a custom mattress that goes around the wheel wells, or use the nooks and crannies for storage space?

I think we will just purchase a queen size mattress and put it between the fender wells and utilize the open spaces for our bags, or the two little pups we have will deem those spaces their own! Lol.
