Now it begins: The Blue Ridge Mountain Vardo!

Hi Gang,

It’s been years since I built the “Weekend for a Family of Five.” A camper with an upper bunk for my then very young children.

Well, the children are all growed now, and the bug has bitten me to build another.

This one I would like to make a simple Vardo design. Simple, because my carpentry skills are basic. But, then paint it up all artsy quirky alternative hippy-dippy Asheville, NC Mountain Style.

And HERE is the 4’ x 10’ trailer I bought today, to start it on!

This is not exactly the style, but I’m thinking something akin to this.

I’ll post some ideas I have as a sketched profile in a bit. Goal to camp in Spring 2022!

Onward!

Ah, the dreamer/adventurer!
Looking forward to seeing your posts! :SG

I suspect the adventure will last until April, 2023, giving me a year of thoughtful reading.
I can't resist telling you that Rome and Romani Caravans were not built in a 'day'.

A good start! I'm sure it will be a work of art when finished.
