Firefly

Hi folks!
After some well-meaning but obviously misguided people talked me out of my tiny house build two years ago (and I sold my trailer), I'm back in the game!
My new NT trailer arrived and got assembled last weekend, with a beefy new Dexter axle. Very happy with that.
I wasn't happy with how I did the flooring on the first trailer. I thought it had too much flex in it. I found a YouTube video from DIY Gene utilizing notched-in cross members. 1x6s on top to extend to 10 feet. Much better! Pics tomorrow when I have a decent internet connection to upload.
I'm going to be building a vardo caravan using Timothy Lemke's plans.
And her name is Firefly.

Home Depot had 3/4" insulation at half price. Think I'll go back tomorrow and snag everything they have left.

Did a bit of a pivot today. Decided it was too much money for the waterproof cover if I built bowtop style as I had originally planned. So I decided to go with straight walls and a curved roof. Flooring done and one wall up before I ran out of daylight.

Thanks, ScottM, it's just me and my dog. Is that 1.5 or 2? He takes up most of the bed, so let's go with 2...

I think if I do a bunk bed style he can have the bottom and I can go narrower on the bed. Leaves me more kitchen room.
