They're still called automobiles (even minivans and SUVs), so there's really no blasphemy in calling larger or otherwise improved trailer design a teardrop.

Ummm while all automobiles... They still seem to stay true to their original definition of Car, Truck, Van, Suv, Wagon or the newer Crossover, Hybrid, etc.

By the same logic... All the trailers are still Campers or Trailers... Can't Teardrops be Teardrops within a specific gray area, Cargo Conversions, Goosenecks, TTT's, popups, etc?

I wouldn't advertise my Conversion Van for sale as a Hybrid because of its nature to be different than a normal van and to get viewed by a crowd that may be interested in small vehicles too.

Well, I certainly hope you never list your conversion van in the AutoTrader, because it's not called the VanTrader...

I just think hairs are being split here. Other than size, I see no difference between Pissygaz's camper and the "Reverse Teardrop" camper sold by Little Guy.

I won't. I'm not fond of auto trader. And a van is still an automobile just like a teardrop is still an RV.

Yea I'm splitting hairs... Honestly I could care less how he listed it.. I just like a spirited debate. Remember, inflection is lost in text. This is all spoken with tounge in cheek.

Also, when you're looking at this auction, if you click on the link for "See Other Items", she also has a more "traditional" sized reverse teardrop for sale, too.

This camper is still for sale by the builder. CLICK HERE for the new link on eBay.

Apparently she (the builder) registered it, so it now has to be listed as used. She also has added an air conditioner to it instead of just being AC ready. It's been relisted several times now since I first posted this. The last time she listed it it had a $3,000 starting price with no reserve. This time around she has a lower starting price, but I'm betting the reserve is $3k or less.

I think $3k is an excellent price for a camper this big. That bed/dining combo is incredible. Just can't convince the wife that my two sons and I could use this to get out of a tent for scout camping! It doesn't help that I don't have any place to store it since it wouldn't fit in the remaining spot in my 3-car garage.

Yup, looks like the reserve was exactly $3k. Appears to be finally sold. I admit to being intrigued by this trailer, but it seemed a little heavy at 2,000lbs, and parts of the design had a hand-me-down parts look to it -- not really sure why some of those color and material choices were made.

Hope whoever bought it likes it and has fun with it! Meanwhile, I'm still on the prowl for my perfect TTT.

For what it is worth ebay will cancel your listing if they think you have misused a term and call it spamming! I had a set of wheels off of a military jeep listed one time and posted that they were "not Combat" wheels and they accused me of spamming for using those words in my posting. I was simply telling prospective bidders that they were not the bolt together field repairable wheels!
