Thanks for posting that....I've been looking, but somehow...too many things make me gunshy on this one. #1...a quickie paint job, could be a brush or a roller one on it, makes it look good at a distance for a CL ad...but that can hide a lot of stuff, and if the interior was almost done, I'd think a pic would have been put up. "frame completely new"...so what does that mean? someone rebuilt the frame?

I'm certainly no expert, but this is kinda one of those things....check it out closely. I just don't see 1700$ in upgrades on this one, based on his pics. Yeah, you can ask for other pics, but why wouldn't he put them up from the get go? New insulation? Not unless it was completely rebuilt, but it does have "working" LED taillights....and who cares if the tires are from Les Schwab?

I think this guy found a deal on a vintage trailer, did a really quickie redo on it and is trying to maximize his find into some dollars with minimum outlay.

It may be a great deal, but based on what he's put up...I wouldn't bother to drive down to Lodi to see it....

Not to be MR. Negative...but just my opinion. A very poorly written or thought out ad, or he's hiding something. Doug

That trailer just doesn't look right. Here's my original 1957 Westerner for comparison.

Another well meaning seller...who unknowingly contributes to the misinformation about "restored" trailers.
Someone out there will buy this, then brag to all their friends how they own a "restored" trailer shortly before they discover shortcuts and problems that cause them to decide that all trailers, even restored trailers are rotten old pieces of junk.

Gee, how could that happen? After all, they spent the HUGE sum of $1700 :?

This pretty much says it all;

Repainted on the outside as well. Must sell. Restorations alone were $1700.00!!

Three good observations by three people that I seriously consider being people who know what there talking about.

Unfortunately there are a lot of these "Spit & Polish" people out there that give us and Vintage Trailers all a bad name.

An unknowing buyer buys this....a short time things start going wrong, a few bad, though justified comments and we've all got a bloody nose.

When a seller tells you how much he/she spent on a restoration you have to take that with a grain of salt.

Did they hire someone to do work? Did that person know what they were doing? Did they know how to buy things Properly?

As we all know, some $100 items can be bought for $10 also.

I'd Steer Clear also.

Happy Trails
