Wow!

Check the build on this one.

I get the impression that this looks like more than a custom build, but done by a manufacturer??

There is alot of craftmenship in this and the Pop up portion is very interesting.

What do you call it??

Is it worth 8k??

It would be interesting to know how this is sealed - or indeed if it is sealed. It looks to have plastic curtains for the sides of the pop-up, but it's not obvious how they work.

The position of the axle has me worrying - unless there's a big weight in the front storage box, it looks like most of the weight is behind the axle......

The axle location looks really odd...

That's certainly an interesting approach. Maybe there's an anvil in the tongue box? We better not copy the design as its "patten pending"

Perhaps the intent was to relieve tongue weight? It looks like it would be a pain to pull! Looking at the setup, the rear jacks look like they're either at the back of the actual frame, or they expect the weight of the occupants to balance the whole thing. There would need to be a lot of explanation before I'd consider paying $8,000!

Actually, for $8,000, I could build a fully customized Festiva AND a teardrop to match it.

LOL, right? No one has ever done a lift-able type of roof before

Sure looks a lot like an HF tongue. And like everyone else said, the balance looks....odd. Even if you don't need to raise the roof for a nap, you might need to drop the rear jacks.

Well, I'm typically a big fan of things that pop up or out or whatever.

Not quite sure about that one, though. I gotta agree with Angib. Can't really figure out how they the side curtains on the pop-up seal.

All that said, it does look like a lot of work went into it. I like the interior. Nice look. Seems spacious, even without the pop-up.

That thing's got a lot of "Rear end" stickin out the back.

Shame, one interesting idea that's counteracted by poor wheel placement.

Happy Trails

Interesting video. I kinda got seasick though. The creator needs to lay off the transition effects (or whatever it is) and zoom out a bit.

That one looks like a Safari Alto. Always thought those were pretty cool.

If/When I do a second build I might try to tackle something like that.

Droid,
I find myself agreeing with those that said that the top on that woodie is an add on unit.

There is no room in the cabin for it to lower down, judging from where the inside cabinets are. And, there are no separation points at the corners where it could fold up.

Looking at the edge trim on the roof it looks like the roof just lifts off and they place the whole unit on. Can't imagine that it would be built to stay that way permanently.

Whether or not that upper portion is accessible from the inside is hard to say, but, since we don't see an access door on the outside one would have to assume so.

I like the guys video!!

Very enthusiastic about his design.

Now is the view special to the teardrop or could he have the same view if he stepped out side and looked around.

That is a lot of teardop on that trailer.
