Be aware, I posted this on the Tear Jerkers site, and someone replied that it was the same picture that had been on other Craigslist ads in different cities, and on ebay at 4,900...

Definitely a scam. It's not very descriptive, no additional pictures, and 10% of the price of a new one. "in like new condition" too...
It doesn't usually hurt to send them an email from your spam account just to be sure, but as soon as they respond with broken sentences, mention shipping, checks, or call it "The Item", quit while you're ahead before you get emotionally involved. Wayy too many scams these days. What a shame...

Yeah, agreed. I did email them, and live in the same area, so I may just mess with them a bit for fun.

Back to the drawing board...

I just did a "search all craigslist" and this is listed all across the country, from Boston to Tulsa. It's a scam.

The ad is now showing "This posting has been flagged for removal".

You will make the payment to eBay and they will hold the money until you receive the camper. So I replied that I saw the trailer was in Nashville and I'd meet her and pay cash and tow it away. We'll see how she responds.

Oh, believe me, I don't expect a thing. I'm just having fun at this point. If they're stupid enough to think that I'll bite on the scam, I'm stupid enough to play along and waste their time for a while. We should start a pool... how long will this episode last?

Ye of little faith..don't you believe in the innate goodness of folks on craigslist? (Me either..I meant it could happen when donkeys fly..) I think you can drag this out for a couple of days.I got into something like this once on a JD compact backhoe,kept it going till I lost interest in the game.

Remind me not to tell you all that my teardrop is listed on Craigslist when I do.

Gotta love the "419" scams.. They all seem to ask for the same amount of money too.
