Another Scam on Teadrops.

http://sacramento.craigslist.org/rvd/3291308264.html

This 2005 Custom Teardrop Trailer have 2 sleeping capacity. It has been extremely well maintained ,no pets inside.
Fully loaded with water, supplies, clothing, chairs, and everything else you would need for an excursion, this trailer weighs only 760 lbs. You can tow it with even a four-cylinder vehicle. We often towed it behind my wife's VW Beetle convertible with no issues whatsoever, even going up hills. You'll love how easy it is to tow--the trailer tracks well, and it's easy to see behind the trailer without using special mirrors. Basically, you'll hook up the trailer, toss your gear inside, and hit the road. When you arrive at your campsite, set-up takes less than five minutes.
I've installed a propane stove and propane oven, each on sliding shelves. You'll love the convenience. My wife and I really enjoyed having an oven while camping. We regularly baked corn bread, muffins, cakes, and even pizzas.
I bought it when i was serving in Fort Lewis,US Army base in Washington and now I am deployed in Athens, Greece. The camper will be delivered from Fort Lewis,US Army base in Washington for free.
I have dropped my price to $ 2,500 (purchase price) since this is an Urgent Sale! and I need to sell it before September 30th, when I will be deployed in Afghanistan with my platoon replacing the troops scheduled to come home.
The financial part will be managed by Google Checkout, which means that you will have a 5 days inspection period before committing to buy the camper. In this way both, buyer and seller are 100% covered during the steps of this transaction.
Hope to hear from you soon!

Can you belive this crud??!!

SCAM UPDATED!!!

Dave,
Please take a few moments and read my email carefully, I know it is long, but I will explain all the details about the camper and the transaction.
At the moment I'm stationed in Athens, Greece making final preparations before deploying to Afghanistan.
The teardrop is already at our Military Logistic Department in Fort Lewis,WA Army base, crated and ready to go. The Logistic Department will deliver the camper to your home. The shipping is free for you. Since the teardrop is in a military base, with no access you can not go there and take it, only the Logistic Department can deliver it, because it is in their custody.
All documents you need for ownership, manuals and bill of sale will be provided along with the camper.
You can read more about google checkout here http://sites.google.com/site/howgcworks
For the payment I would like to use Google Checkout as a third party. They will keep your money into a protection account until you get the teardrop and will release it to me after inspection period is over and you agree to keep it. So, this is not a blind transaction, you can see the camper before committing to buy and to eliminate any concerns you will have 5 days to inspect it. If you decide not to keep it Google Checkout will refund you the money, no questions asked, and shipping back will be my concern. But I assure you won't be the case. I think this is more than fair for both of us.
To start the official procedure with Google Checkout I will need your complete name, shipping address and phone # and they will contact you about this you'll receive important guidelines + instructions from them.
Feel free to call me anytime at 307-462-0676.
PLEASE NOTE!
If the camper is not how I've described it, you have the unequivocal right to refuse acceptance of the camper (return postage on my expense) and you are entitled to a full and complete refund of the camper 's purchase price. It will be insured during transportation and will be delivered in front of your door.
Again I want to point out that because I am going to Afghanistan. this sale is my top priority and I am looking after a fast transaction, with no delays. That is why I decided to lower the price, to avoid wasting time with negotiations and find a buyer as soon as possible.
  :x :frightened:  :?

On Wed, Sep 26, 2012 at 11:14 AM,

I am definitely interested!!

How do we proceed?

Do you need a deposit?

Dave

I don't know how access to military bases work, but you could always claim to be be a vet with privileges at Fort Lewis. It could keep your scambaiting running a little longer.

What is amazing about this guy is that he uses the same phone number and why would he have a US number if he was stationed in Greece?

most bases will have an id check at the gate. if this base does, you won't get on without the id. now if he is stationed in greece, and the camper is in washington, then why does his state side phone show wy. is it possible that maybe his wife lives in wy?
you could always ask for his rank and what his full name is to verify that with the state side base. ask what his parent command is, and then give them a call. the military might like to know he is posing (if in fact he is).
i would doubt this as a serious offer for one main thing, the delivery of the camper for free. i have never know the military to deliver anything for free. unless he is going to be using your address for his address, then i doubt the military will be doing this. and i can pretty much guarantee they will not be returning it at all, especially for free.

Hi Jeff,

Could I make two installments on the trailer, as I get paid on the 5th of October??

Also I have a cousin who is stationed at Fort Lewis!! Can I have him look at the trailer before making the payments??

His name is Steve and he is with the 1st Special Forces Group Airborne. He has access throughout the base because of his rank.

This sounds like the same bozo that was advertising a Honda Silverwing all over Craig's List some time back. I had a lot of fun leading him on and then offering to have my "nephew the state trooper" do the inspection and pickup for me. Never heard from him again.
