This is a factory made tear drop camper. The Tourette is a wider bodied teardrop where the wheels are enclosed in the body. This makes for a wider interior and kitchen. Also the body is made with an aluminum frame. Made by the Universal Trailer Corporation, Kansas City, MO, from mid-'40s early '50s. They weighed about 720 lbs

To say "it needs a little TLC" is a vast understatement. It needs the entire interior refurbished or replaced. Not an easy task on an old trailer where many of the interior shelves and cabinets are riveted through the skin.

A friend of mine who was hard up for a td went and looked. He and I have rebuilt alot of junk before and he did not come home with it. He offered the guy 500.00. And felt like he would have to put 2k in it to make it dry and actually functional again.
