Teardrops n Tiny Travel Trailers

I'd like to admit to you all that I have a problem. I can't seem to stop drawing trailers. I really enjoy it. Here's another one:

I have named it the Micro Standy but it is based on a German trailer I found called the Werferlinger LT9-200. It is a very compact design with a cool dinette setup. The original is only 6'6 long. I added a couple inches for bed length. I bet you could build one pretty light too...

Specs:
6'-8" long
6'-8" tall
5'-8" wide
5'-4" standing height
78x48 bed
Closet and small counter area
Room for a/c under the bed somewhere

I need to update a few things on it, change the length of the table and add windows but you get the idea...

I like the compact trailers for some reason. Easy to tow and you can build them in a standard garage as most of the ones I draw are under 7' overall height...

Some folks brought one if those to IRG1.0 and it was totally cool.

Wow! Good design and nicely drawn, too! I like it.

One suggestion: Put some velcro strips on those cushions to hold them together when they form the bed. That inside cushion might want to fall off if you toss and turn, or .........whatever in bed!

I have a lot of interest in building a short standy after the Sawtooth is done too... I have another design that is 8'-6" long that I will post later...

I'm there with you. And the CFO has already given approval for #2 after #1 is complete.

In the interim, I started learning Sketchup. I like your design. Is it posted in the library (or whatever it is called)?

Are you guys using "Catia" aka "Solidworks" for your drawings here?

I use Autocad to do all my modeling and use Sketchup to render. Solidworks is pretty spendy. Sketchup is free and pretty easy to use...
