I think I have worked out a bargain bin solution to waste water tanks. Here is my solution. The 6 gal. canister. My theory is to make several and have a tank for the sink a tank for the shower and a tank for the toilet. That way I can avoid over fill and avoid mixing grey with very grey with black.

Here is the final product (pardon the ecessivly long bolts. They will be replaced):

The connection point is a 3" toilet flange modified. and inside is a spacer ring modified:

After I cut the main hole in the tank and drill the four mounting holes, I slice the modified toilet spacer ring to allow it to be put inside:

I cut out a rubber membrane seal but probably a silicone seal will be the final one I use. Also I will probably use nylon non corroding bolts in the final version.

Prior to this my plan was to mimic what RV's do with black water. That is an elbow and a length of tube and then a fitting that connects to a corrugated tube. But this whole idea I see as ripe with clog problems. I decided it would be better for the sewage to drop straight down into the tank with a 3" tube and no elbows. There will be a vent pipe however for the off gasing. This way there is no way for any solids to get stuck at all. I will simply fill up the container and have another container to replace it and cap off the full one and take it to the dump station. The unit cost me less than 20 dollars to make.

Wow, that looks just like the one I paid $45 for.

I don't know why they're so expensive but they are. That's a slick arrangement you cooked up, let us know how it works.

Well I am sure that is much nicer than mine in many ways. Still mine is one gallon larger than that. Mine to make what you see cost me $17.
