Anybody do a weekender in foam?

Postby PKCSPT » Thu Sep 12, 2013 2:23 am

Been looking to see if anybody has built a weekender foamie?

I am trying to come up with a VERY affordable read cheap teardrop for my daughter her husband and 3 kids. She likes my teardrop setup with the attached tent the kids can sleep in but I am not giving up my tear! mine.
Gotta keep it cheap, she is trying to stay home with the kids so they are a one income family and money is a bit beyond tight for them so I will be funding most of it.
The weekender looks to be pretty basic and foam seems pretty easy to work with. She has a dodge minivan, I think the weekender would tuck in behind eliminating wind drag. Making doors and a hatch kinda scare me too.

That does look to be easy enough.
