Another thing I was contemplating was I am building my kids a tree house this summer. Wood base connected to the tree and foamie walls and roof. Any thoughts?

just be sure it is secure, foam RC planes and gliders started this crazyness , you don't want your new roof to end up sailing in the breeze...

I'm considering a foamie hatch cover for the roof hatch on the house, my biggest concern is anchoring it enough that it doesn't disappear like the wood one did a few years ago. no complaints from the neighbors so who knows where it landed
the last caretaker left a bare slab of 3/4" ply with three barbell weights hanging off of it, the ply is delaminating...

Well wouldn't a foamie roof be easier ti attach (canvas on) foamie walls than a wood one? Plus it would be built with a hole in the middle where the tree protrudes so even if it came detached it would be stuck like a washer on a nail! Finally it would be a great test run and practice before skinning the real prize, my tear!

Wow now you got me thinking, that's funnyy I'm planning a tree house for my boys this summer also. you could do the roof on the ground with the proper angels and canvas it on the ground then attach it it with a screw and washer then put a canvas patch over the screw head with TBII to hide/protect the screw. I think I like the idea

What about a backyard shed? If foam and canvas works great for teardrops (and treehouses), wouldn't it be a cheap and easy way to make a backyard shed to store the lawn mower in?

As long as you had a solid base to mount it to the ground to.

Or mount it on skids so you could move it around if needed?
There’s no place like Foam !
