I suspect that it may dry brittle like plaster, as per their description, rather than rigid or flexible, but I thought it might be worth tossing it out there. Probably not something to consider for structural use, but may have a purpose for our use in some other way(?).

Bear in mind that there is a big difference between glass fibers and fiberglass. Fiberglass usually means glass fibres in a resin matrix that makes a strong, light material. Lots of materials have glass fibres added to them to make them a bit stronger.

The fact this is 'activated' by water rules out any resin since all the common ones won't cure right in the presence of water.

This tape may have many valuable uses*, but I doubt sealing trailer bodies is one of them.

* Sealing a leaky snake oil container, for instance?

Yup. Like I said, I had not seen this before and probably not for structural use.

Just thought I'd throw it out there and see if any one has any experience with it.

KC, we saw some stuff called magic plastic of something like that. Crystals when put in water , softened into a shapeable mass of ... plastic .... when dry it dried like ... plastic ... Some fiberglass tape imbedded with something like that would theoretically be super for doing edges and corners ... And with the thought that TB2 works so very well with glass cloth (tested) , that provides a “wet-and-stick” method we can do right now ... Saturate the tape in a tub of TB2 and stick it down to the surface intended.

Has anyone used tb2 over body filler?

Dale ,I think TB2 needs a porous surface ... or maybe something with a good “tooth” ... (That’s another thing to be tested )

TB2 does not stick to Bondo well.

Looks like it may be the same stuff a cast is made with. When my son had a fiberglass cast, they soaked it in water before wrapping his wrist.

One of the products on that page - The soft casting tape, states:
A fiberglass casting tape which does not set to a completely rigid state, but remains flexible and soft even when it is completely cured.

I was tempted at the time to ask for a roll, but didn't
