It was coming in right as I was done covering airplanes.


I've done one... dacron and the old dope system.

Nice! I have jumped in line at RIPON a few times also. Love the kit biz, but it was time for me to get out due to liability. I had a close call with lawyers. Took it as a sign.

I hear you. The guy that has my bird now, doesn't even have his private. I'm sure it hasn't been touched by an A&P forever so I think any manufacturer's liability isn't an issue.

Since we seem to have a couple people with both trailer and dacron covering experience, this seems like a good place to ask...

I've been thinking about doing a lifting top trailer with the top done as an open framework with dacron covering. A mix of skin-on-frame boat and aircraft frame techniques covered with dacron. The goal is a compound curved, lightweight top that would be easy to lift and hopefully be more aerodynamic. I was thinking of using the Steward System I saw demonstrated at EAA.

Thoughts?
