adhesive for pmf

I have access to some cheap carpet adhesive at my local restore. has anyone tried using this for pmf?

Not I. And I wouldn't try it since I have such success with Titebond II. A gallon is about $25.

An adhesive is not cheap if it fails five years down the road. At the very least do some experiments with that adhesive and canvas on whatever surface you plan to apply it to. Expose it to the sun for a while. Soak it in water for a while. Don't just wing it!

I sure hope I didn't just waste my time on an AI poster! First post is always sketchy. Why don't you introduce yourself to the community here first and give some ideas of what you are trying to do? It should attract more replies after doing so.

Thank you for replying to my inquiry. I'm building a 6x10 benroy style camper. my local restore has 20 gallons of adhesive for carpet at $10 a gallon and I thought I would see if anyone had tried it before buying. I see your point about experimenting and purchased a gallon. It did grab nicely, and I am currently testing several pieces of foam to see how it holds up under different conditions.
