Did anyone catch the RV television show last night 1/29/12?
one person was building trailers made of 2X4's bolted to the frame with hurricane clamps.
talk about heavy but they looked like small houses.

Pete , it would appear from what we’ve all seen , most homebuilders (of trailers) are guilty of[u] “over-buildingâ€

houses are usually overbuilt. I have read that all it takes is 1 - 2x4 every 4 feet in the wall to hold up a 24' span truss, placed 4'oc and this will hold the snow load.

Actually a 1x6 stud is way stronger than a 2x4 stud.it is depth that matters most not width.
