To start I am just going with the face frames that I have shown already. I really don't have plans for doors or drawers at this time.

There will be plenty of mill work cutting the ledgers and some more quarter round trim, and lots of finish work to protect it; plenty of fitting in place.

I will also have to build the chases that will go around the hatch actuators, so that should be interesting; haven't modeled that in 3D, and frankly, there really is no need to at this point.

Doors and perhaps a utensil/flatware drawer may come later once I figure out our needs.

Thank you for your enthusiasm!

Thank you Mary. I'll get back to it as soon as we get home from vacation in NH.

Here are some teaser pics of our trip so far.

It’s rough, I know, but somebody has to suffer through this, so it might as well be me!

It's a tough row to hoe, but I will suffer through so that I can bring you the pic's. :R :R :R

B-Day dinner at Ledge Water Steak House. After the fabulous crab and shrimp stuffed mushrooms, I had the wedge salad smothered in awesome bleu cheese dressing and crumbled bacon.
Image

Surf and turf; 2 petite filets wrapped in bacon with 5 walnut sized scallops also wrapped in bacon. The steak had ground pepper seasoning with a dab of herb butter, while the scollops had a hint of maple syrup in the caramelized saute. Fabulous!
Image

The mashed potatoes had so much butter worked in that they were yellow (and a good deal of black pepper)! Bottle of Chateau Ste. Michelle Merlot to help savor it.

I was in foodie heaven!

Oh yeah, this was the view.

...Ledge Water Steak House...I had the wedge salad...

Had I stopped reading there for some reason, I would have been forced to petition for the rescinding of your 'Foodie-in-Residence' badge.

I'm a sucker for any shots with a water view, thx for posting those.
And above all: Happy Bday !!

WW, I know. The wedge salad sounds so pedestrian and is on all of the menus around here, butttttt.... I was going for the bacon trifecta, and I could tell that this place would not disappoint; it was very delicious.

Mmm, lots of chunky bleu cheese, lots of crispy bacon, wonderful sliced grape tomatoes, fresh crisp lettuce and house made croutons! Ordinary made splendid.

I have no idea what we will get for breakfast tomorrow, but so far we have had;
- Grilled ham and Swiss cheese stuffed toast on asparagus spears topped with poached eggs and a cream sauce.
- Pears poached in port wine and triple sec with cinnamon, and Bananas Foster stuffed french toast done with brown sugar like an upside down cake.
- Filo dough layered like a lasagna with peppery ground chicken sausage, spinach, basil, and cheese with herb scrambled eggs on the side.
- Chocolate topped black cherry cobbler with lots of cinnamon, and eggs Benny with cranberry/ginger/pear chutney, prosciutto, perfectly poached eggs, and really good hollandaise with a hint of Tabasco.

All of the eggs are fresh from chickens raised here on the property, and I have been having local honey in my coffee with pomegranate juice on the side. :D

The host lives in the adjacent "barn" so we have the run of the very well appointed house; chocolate chip cookies; mini brownies dipped in white and dark chocolate; white/yellow layer cake with raspberry butter cream frosting and white chocolate flakes; cinnamon raspberry pie; fresh fruit; coffee/tea bar; etc.

Really, this is just decadent living! I'm going to hate the snap back to reality when it comes! :frightened:

"I'mmmmm baaaack!" - Russel Casse (Randy Quaid), from the movie Independence Day.

Tonight I cleaned out and reorganized the stuff I had stored under the camper table/cabin assembly. Then Karl helped me to shuffle sawhorses. We stuck another set under the front and rear edges of the build frame and he lifted up each end while I climbed under and folded up the legs on the main metal horses. Next we lifted each end in turn, pulled the temp horse out and set the assembly down onto the folded up horses. Pics with the next camera dump (I have a bunch of vaca pics yet to get thru and I am not up to that this evening.)

Even with the build frame and horses attached, the front is easy to lift by one person. The rear is doable, too, but with the hard edging on the galley walls and the relatively heavy construction of the bulkhead, the weight is biased to the rear; we could each lift and hold it at waist height, but with our bad backs it took both of use to comfortably squat it down to the loft floor.

Then I spent some time doing a few little fix it type repairs, mostly some more edge gluing from the weak vacuum bag incident.

The weather we had during vacation was ideal, moderate temps and dry for the most part, but last night a front came thru and now it is humid again. Yuck.

Finished up the evening (in front of the fan) by refreshing my self on the wiring diagram; marked it up to help keep track of the wire colors (the plotter does colors but the lines were kind of thin so the colors didn't stand out as nicely as I would have liked). That's when I noticed that I had forgotten to include the 3 light central tail running light. No problem, it can piggy back off of the run for the marker plate light, so I penciled it in.

Three day weekend coming up, but I have a family gathering upstate midday Sunday.

Building on.
