Today , weatherman predicts 40% chance of rain in the evening ... so we’ll have to start early with the drying out procedure and hope for a sunny morning ... That same huge high pressure system that’s bringing all the hot weather up North is responsible for the daily rains here... Not the best time of the year for outside trailer building ...

~ latest update ... weather predicted to be Sunny till noon ...no rain till the evening... so we went outside and pulled the tarp off , expecting the worst ....
Pleasantly surprised, all the canvas was still attached , no bubbles , and the areas that had been primed were fairly dry-ish’... the unprimed canvas areas , Gripper attached , were only damp , not soaked ...Apparently the Gripper, baked in the sun yesterday was enough to dry and waterproof it .. That’s Nice ... “ One for the Gripper” ...

Inside is fairly dry already , the fan really helping with that ...

I’ve just GOTTA' get the keystone cover done Today ... !!!

Working while it’s cool, got the keystone covered ...still going around pressing areas for a close fit ... another step done !!! Yes, more threads to remove ...

Did a test ... T2 does stick to the Gripper ...

Oh oh. Looks like that cap should have gone on before the balloon gores. Now you need to find a way to keep that front seam from coming lose while driving. But I bet you have already been thinking about that.

Got the front Grippered’ ...just the keystone cover yet to prime ...

Apologies to KC ... it never really gets dry dry dry here... ever (have to move to AZ for that ) , so we just have to work with what we have , and a good deal of Dumb Luck ... Sun’s out !!! :D
Ps , there will be a “trim” strip added to the front where the balloon gores meet the front wall .. not necessary , but will look nice ... Still have to get to the Hdwe. and get the 6” fiberglass tape ,for the trim and “tension” bands ... The final touch on the covering , save the window fitting ... and vent which we are yet to find something suitable

Watching this thread with great interest. As I live in AZ, I was wondering what it would be like to worry about rain every day. Last time it rained at my house was in March. :NC

It is the "returning home" speeds that might get you.

You may just need to cut a hole and build a coaming around it to get a flat flange for a standard vent. Another option would be standard cargo trailer side vents at the top of the flat of the wall, but that would leave a lot of dead air up high.
