I certainly understand your point. Although, it's probably worth saying that if the trailer was the size of a Rapido or even a Chateau that you wouldn't need the side tent for your wife to change.

Yeah, I like those as well. Like I said, the layout of the 13 is nearly identical to my 1968 Red dale 14 footer and about half the weight.

Having done some repair work on some water damage on the Red Dale, there's not much to it beyond some 2x2 walls and aluminum sheeting.

I really can't figure out where the extra 800 or so pounds went.

Although I imagine those old frames were pretty heavy. I know the stove/oven combination must add some weight as well.

At any rate, that ProLite seems like it would lend itself to a foam construction.

Crazy cool! I like the Rapido. I honestly considered building a camper with folding sidewalls and slideout flooring, but it would maintain somewhat of a teardrop shape. I did some sketches, so I might actually build one some day.
