Except for the chrome on the stove being rusted, it looked like it had never been used. It still had the papers showing how to use it inside. The original refrigerator and heater were junk though.
The door window is stained glass, copper foil and solder joints. I wanted something that couldn't be seen through so I wouldn't need door curtains.

Wow, I figured you applied something to the existing jalousie slats. That's impressive, I'll be it looks even better in person.
Out of curiosity, how do you think it will stand up to road vibration ?
I like that idea for making a bathroom window opaque but still letting light in.

If you need fridge heaters in future, don't get them from an RV supplier. I have to replace mine and found great prices on 110V ones at McMaster Carr's site.

Tossed my heater too - the thermocouple worked but the rest of the valve didn't.
Fortunately, foamies are pretty well insulated.
Mine's only 1" and still has holes to be closed up but a single mantle propane lantern heats it to comfortable from freezing temps in about an hour.

New Years Day...I felt good and didn't have to deal with getting snow off the streets. I've been dreading the sanding part of the hybred foamie. That was silly......it's easy to sand foam. You get results fast. I have completed one side and the rear end of the trailer. One more weekend of sanding, and I think I'll be ready for the canvas!

I have 1/2 of the top and one side to sand and I'll be done with sanding. It goes quick, but it is does get you tired. I'll be glad to have the sanding complete!

I'm done for the day...I have 1/2 of the roof to finish sanding.
Does anyone know if the canvas will span small cracks without showing?
I could use some filler if I need to, I was just curious.

Small cracks are a place for water to get in ... not that it’ll do anything ... Filler is better ...

It will, but why take a chance ... We used spray foam for some large voids and lightweight spackle for small cracks ...
  The better you make it , the longer it will last with No problems ... I’m two years and counting , mine lives outside , still dry as Toast inside ...
