That is the video that started the whole Gliden Griper here. She says she was looking for something that would cure and not gum up her tools when she carved into the glued up sheets of foam. BUT Gripper is a water based product. How does it dry in 48 hours? I am waiting for some of us here to try it and report. I would not be to worried about using it for the outer canvas/cloth.

With my extracurricular activities I'll need to be able to pack up at a moments notice and possibly have to drive for 8 hours before I have to get to work so I need something that not only works but looks good as well...due to this being my office of sorts (mobile command post). The wind is is a big issue as it will most likely be taller then the slipstream of the tow vehicle and a 20mph cross wind with a semi truck coming at you doing 55mph and you traveling at a speed of 55mph that adds up to 130mph winds hitting your trailer...so ya structural integrity can be very important

The vehicle is pushing through the air not pushing the air with it. You will not get 100 mph head winds passing a truck doing 50 while at the same speed going the opposite direction. What you will be dealing with is the turbulence that the vehicles make pushing through the air, which will be hitting you more from the side than from the front and no where near the traveling speed of the passing vehicle.

Droid , the many thousands of miles now travelled with Foamies dispels all those “Myths” (Busted ! ) No reported incidents save the single one with a too tall/narrow camper , tipping in a cross wind , with very little resulting damage .. The Jury however , is still out on Bears and frozen Turkeys ... :R

What’s to fail ? Wood fails (we know that for sure :frightened: ) , so for long lasting it’s either go Foam or go Stone ...

Ok going a little off track here but since you asked

I'd love something as wild and exotic as this but sadly it's too tall
Image
This is a nice length but I'd like to a go a little taller as I would like to have a sleeping loft, just seems to make more sense, too me any ways
Image

ImageImage
on this picture I'l dlike to have the loft to be able to come out on an upper deck of sortsImage
This is what I would like to do to the front end of the trailer to help make it a little more streamline (The deck would be going out towards the back of the trailer)
Image
I like the use of dormers on this one as way of bringing some more light
Image
I like the slide out function of this but I'd use it more for storage, battery placement and possibly as a spare bed, or just an area to house my dogs under the kitchen

I like how this style is set up, it seems to be around the length that I'm looking for, I'd like to ha small back deck that is big enough to house a cattle stock tank hence the need for the foamie glue, the tank can be drained for when your in transport but it would be easy to refill once you have reached your destination

one of the videos that should me that this could be possible is; by doing something that you love to do your willing to make small sacrifices

Sorry this post is so long but you did ask....Welcome to my madness

That last vid was very definitely worth the 20 min watch. Very high production value and wonderful mountain snow scenery! Some crazy extreme sking, too.

Thanks for sharing that. Mother nature is so impressive.

Actually, the foam's strength is critical. Use a too weak of foam and the skins wont maintain their relationship to each other. The foam ties the skins together like the central vertical wall in an I bean ties the top and bottom plates together.
