My dad was an electrical engineer for Good Year. For 8 years, no dress shirt ever made more than one trip to the plant without getting ruined (carbon black won't come out). All he ever wore were dress shirts. T- shirts were for yard work and I was doing that.

The Clothes follow the Craft !!! Sort of a personal Fashion statement !!!

Funny story , as Artists , we’re expected to dress like Bohemians with paint on our clothes ... Recently I showed up at an opening with a new suit on , and everybody was wondering “Where’s the Artist ?? ” ... I would have done much better dressed in my paint blotched Artist “uniform” ... Appearance is Everything !!! It’s a superficial world eh ? We (and our trailers) are judged by how they “look” ...

As a shadetree mechanic, I've some experience with the original "Gorilla" adhesive that gets on you and doesn't want to let go ...3M Super Weatherstrip Adhesive. Also known as "Gorilla Snot". It gets on you no matter what you do. In building the TTT, I've been covered with Titebond2, Loctite PL, polyurethane, paint of three colors, and now (once again) "Gorilla Snot".

Of course, having learned my lessons about the yellow snot not matching the black rubber door gaskets, in the past, I chose to use the black version.

And of course, it ended up in my hair, on my clothes, and all over my hands...but, thank goodness, not on the carpet or mattress that I failed to cover up before hand!

I have mechancs cloth cover-alls for all cutting, glue (mine is epoxy or PLpremium), or paint work, they can just about stand up on their own, but the rest of my clothes are fine. My kids each have one of my old T shirts with paint on it for when they help me paint.
