An angled front is Not necessarily a Bad thing .... not the most streamline , but we’re not making bullets or race cars here ( like other sites) ... so some “COMPROMISES” are acceptable ... So many here are obsessed by the "theoretical ideal" and ignore practicality and ease of building ... Foamiea are all about having FUN , and building a camper that will last ( not rot) and you won’t have to sell the farm to build or maintain ...

So since I have not yet started my build. In what ways could I make it cut the wind better, improve the design ? Always up for hearing better ideas.

At the risk of trying to answer this without offending anyone ... The simplest one we've seen is the V shaped front like on those cargo trailers ... It's easy to build and gives you some room up front to put stuff .. The problem is , these Standy campers are basically Big Boxes ... and there's always a conflict between something practical and something Pretty ... And involving human nature , pretty usually wins ...

We've learned one of the best ways to cut Drag is by simply slowing down ... Drag increases with speed ... a LOT ... Slow down , leave early , enjoy the drive ... the journey is always the best part ...

Rusty, JMHO , if something is streamline it should look like an airplane , and there are ways to build something like that if you want ...

AS GPW said slowing down does a lot driving 55mph instead of 65mph makes a huge difference.

Angled fronts are not going to help. A rounded front tapered to the back helps the most. AS you displace the air it goes over and actually pushes you forward, to steep of an angle and you lose that affect.

This is considered the optimum shape. Now it is not 100% possible to do. But if you can round your front like that and keep the taper to the back in a kammback style you will help a lot.
