Usually we get a few COLD weeks in late January ... Pretty early for us to be freezing like this ... BRRR !!! :o
Now , being thrifty , got out a couple old quilts ... One all cotton , one all polyester ... The Poly quilt is Much Warmer... Now wish I had a suit made of that stuff ... BRRR!!!! :snow

speaking of thrifty...i am sitting here wrapping the remaining presents with the remaining pieces of scrape paper. the boxes now have a collage look going on. i just can't see paying for more paper when i am just going to throw it away.

you are right though, for this time of year it is record cold. i mean heck its not even winter yet. is this a sign we are going to have a really bad year? i don't really mind, but i hate when the close school and we have to extend our days out into summer vacation. we had yesterday off due to black ice.

I'm a secret ribbon re-cycler .... save it on the empty spools from last year ... every year the wife opens up the box and says " I didn't know we had all this ribbon " ...

We're at the same latitude as Cairo Egypt.. :o So for us , anything below 70F is officially "freezing" ... :o Not acclimated to such Cold as we have now ... Sitting here in the Deep South ,huddled next to the heater, bundled up like "Nanook of the North" ...   Hands and toes like ICE... (and I'm INSIDE!!!! ) Just Googled a site for DIY Mittens from an old sweater ... BRRRR!!!!

Living in the woods , there are lots of dead limbs on the ground .... Tempted to gather it up (first warming) and then make a nice bonfire to stand around (second warming), perhaps roast some "mickeys" (sweet potatoes)

Hey GPW

Is that your teeth I hear chattering up here in Idaho?

I stopped in Lowes today. They had 2" in 2x8 foot sheets. won't helps us.

Then I stopped in HD and they had pink 2" in 4x8 sheets for $21. Seems like a few weeks back their web sight said they didn't have it in stock. Maybe that was Lowes.

Any way. I would check my local lumber yard first before buying.

Do they even stock insulation where you live?

Sorry Dude, spring is coming.

Wolf , the pink would work , and that's a Great price ... I believe the pink and the blue , and the green are all the same kind of material ... just the color is different .... so I'd go with whoever has the best price ... Thanks for checking that out ... :D

Hoping my HD has the same deal !!!

Yes , the chattering was from me ... odd, today is supposed to be in the low 70s... Hard to adjust to such extreme changes ... :o

On this summers 44 day Meander, I solved the bear problem . . .Just parked the Compact Jr in the middle of all the tents.

Reminds me of the punchline "I don't have to outrun the bear, I only have to outrun you"
