droid, I hear you !

The rest of the country is sweltering and here on the coast it feels like spring is right around the corner. I heard someone refer to June as "June-uary" and haven't been able to get it out of my head, lol.

Last year at this time, we had 60 days with no rain starting the July long weekend and temps had hit 30 before now (which is all pretty normal)

How's the fishing there ?
The lakes are normally getting too warm about this year, but we might not see the summer doldrums if the lakes don't warm up...

Here's hoping for an Indian summer.

Randy, our summer is about half over. When it's short, you tend to get a bit possessive about it
------------------------------------------------------------

In consideration of all you folks sweltering in the heat, may I offer an image of relief...

An icon of thrift, if you will.....

You won't see this 'degree' of desperation with the summer we're having:

a little coolness would be very welcomed here. we were over 100 today, i know it reached at least 104 not sure what it said it felt like, but had to be over 110.

the movies were great, and it was not too cold, just right.

Update: Checked the Foamie thoroughly ... carefully looked all over ... and despite the Intense heat, Sun and rain torrents we've been having , I can detect no changes in the skin or foam structure ... save a little bird doo doo which washes itself off in the storms ... No changes in the paint , No leaks .... Currently renovating the Studio so I can bring it inside (it fits) so I can do the finish work inside in the AC ... 8)

i can't imagine someone going to see harry potter without reading the books. and if you read the books then you know what happens. but just in case i won't spoil it for anyone. i will say however, that books are always better. read the books!

oh gosh we have another hot one coming. thank goodness our a/c is working or i would be out in my camper. i've been thinking about it anyway with 11 people in this house.

I slept in my TD last night, had the windows mostly closed. Trying out the new mattress. Not going to get to hot today but tomorrow will be up about 10 degrees, still not like what you folks are getting and are humidity is low. But our time will come.

Our time might not come this year, but we will get it. I remember one year in mid Washington state it got way over 100 while I was farming. Hotter than blazes. Once I went in the shop and the shade felt so good. The thermometer was still over 100. There was also a few nights it didn't get under 100. Had to keep irrigating the crops. And we did not have cabs on the tractors with AC then. Or AC in the pickups. I was much younger then, and lighter. I could not take it now.
