All the commonly available foam tested proved to be More than strong enough ... No worries !!! The foam we use is mainly the 2lb./ cu.ft. which is Plenty Strong !!!

My bad, I thought what GPW pointed out was assumed. That being said, assuming that the foam and skins have adequate strength, the glue bond is also very critical. All elements of the structural composition are important!

Next on the list is joining the panels together, and so on.

The thing is , with lighter materials used in a composite , the strength of the materials is critical ... We Don’t want to put tissue paper over a marshmallow :o It’s the combination of the correct density foam and an adequate skin (and glue) that gives us the Strength we need ... a combination , much STRONGER than either foam or canvas alone ... Naturally , good gluing procedures should be observed (Read the bottle instructions ;) )

I believe we’ve all worked out, in our own minds , how strong our trailers need to be and have developed a set of parameters to follow for a Sturdy utilitarian trailer cabin ... The standard 2” thick foam plus a moderately heavy canvas skin works fine .... well proven on a variety of different size cabins already built/travelled. .... Anything else we add to this , only makes it STRONGER ...

Best always remember the old rule , “Twice as thick is 8 times as Strong ! “ So if you use lighter materials (like a less dense foam ), or are making a Larger trailer just go thicker for More Strength ... works the same for wood too , and most everything else ... 8)

And Exactly as KC said ^ : "All elements of the structural composition are important! “ That’s so True !!!

What I'm thinking of doing is using am metal frame underneath and skin it in the plywood , out side first so that I may seal all the joints with either epoxy or fiberglass then place in the foam insulation and the interior skin, was possibly considering sealing all the boards before the go on as well, since height is going to be crucial for me on the upper loft are instead of using a 2x4 with 3/4 on either side I was considering using a 1x1 metal 1/4 sidewall (every inch helps)....my reference to the Great Stuff was for the cattle stock tank and how they had adhered the cedar boards to it....I felt that it was important enough to share

That certainly is an endorsement for Great Stuff... and now makes me want a wood fired hot tub , using a "Rocket stove" for the heater ... (no smoke !!! ) :o Yet another project ...
Thanks Droid ! Your “plan” sounds workable for sure ... wood , metal , foam , all as a “unit” just HAS to be Strong !!!

Thanks GPW I thought you might get a kick out of those plans I'm hoping that when empty that it would be light enough to move by hand, as I'm thinking that might be a big hit at a campground let the kids play in the lake and grownups can soak in a hot tub, might need a circulating pump of sorts but that shouldn't be to hard to figure out ....So a rocket stove would that come up and through the center so it might look like a flamed fountain , hmm you could make kabobs and smores while you soak

Was thinking more of a Rocket stove on the side heating the tank of water ... easy peasy Japanese ‘y ... 8) Simple rocket stove made of firebricks stacked ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XSMR2ANIZ7E ) ... tank on top, water thermo syphons into the top of the pool ,cool water gets picked up from the bottom of the pool back into the tank ...2 lines , no pump ...

Quite possibly , or cook soup too (double boiler , outside tank for tub , inside for the cooking ) ... multitasking saves space ... and wood ...
