You could have used flashing, dry-wall-corner-bead and might still (they make a bull-nosed kind that might work for your current config) that may be worth a trip to Home Depot or lumber yard to see. Or check on the web, I spose - lemme look ... http://www.drywallschool.com/bullnose.htm

Hmm. I didn't see any examples of bull nose that would wrap around a radius profile, like my hatch or front 15 inch radius.

PVC vs. wood thermal linear expansion could be an issue here, in theory. I personally would hesitate with such combination of materials on the skin that is subject to a wide temperature range, but since some builders did such PVC trim, it would be interesting to know how it worked for them.

If you're talking about lowering TPCE, can the first ever Poet Creek Gathering be far off? Don't go sneakin' off without letting us know. There must be more than one of us wanting to see TPCE in person.

Keep on rollin'!
I'll burn that bridge when I come to it.

Don't worry, Brad (capnT), I'm nowhere near close enough to be worrying about sneaking anywhere.

I'll be so excited when that time comes that I will shout it from the mountain tops (maybe even from Burnt Knob Knoll!!!).

One of Karl's things he does when I reach a mini milestone is to say, "you're almost done". I am always looking ahead at all of the stuff that is left to do, so I don't see it that way, but compared to day one with nothing but a plan and some ambition, we have come a very long way now, haven't we?

Bit by bit, bite by bite. :worship:

Truth, the season on the Magruder is short; just two months and there will be snow again. Realistically, there is no chance of getting done in 2 months. So I am looking forward to my 4th annual deadline.

Dale, Thanks. A couple of pics and a report on the food would be very welcome on your return. Hoist a cold beverage for us.

Depending on what time of year it is, if it is early enough to take a local test trip or go to the races, I will probably do that.

As much as I would like to show it off by taking it to the chunk, that isn't very practical because I usually tow the UT loaded with support equipment, and we all buddy up and stay at a hotel. The chunk is enough of a grind roughing it out in the weather and usually long hours that I want a shower at the end of the day. There are certain hazards to be concerned with at the chunk, too, and while the risk is relatively low, bad things can happen when pumpkins or machinery go in the wrong direction. Maybe someday, tho.

It really looks like I should be able to get 'er done before the start of the next Bitterroot open season, so that is the main goal.

As mentioned previously, I would really like to dedicate a season or two to strike out and go to as many of the east coast drag races, and "The Big Go" (The US Nationals in Indy) as I can; Englishtown, Epping, Maple Grove, maybe Thunder Valley, maybe Gainesville, maybe the 4 wide in Charlotte. Make long weekends out of the trips where necessary.

Then probably hit some TD gatherings, if not sooner.

Spaced out within my allotment of vacation days, of course.

You think you might be done by the end of June 2016?

Little thing I am planning

Not sure of the date yet as I am going to have it the week before the IRG in California and they will not know exact date until January when the reservations open up.

This will be a one time trip. Already thinking of different one for 2017.

Dag-nab-it. That sounds like a good time, an extremely interesting place, and I sure would like to meet you and tony. But alas, I will have a limited number of days off and really have to prioritize the Poet Creek trip (it is my vision... my carrot, after all).

Bugger.

You know what? I'm gonna play that one by ear. I do get more time off, I just can't take it all together so would not have enough time to get out there and back if driving. I wonder if I could fly in, rent a suitable vehicle and tent camp with you all? I'd be up for that for sure!
