I used to get up at 4:00 AM, but it takes me too long to get moving. Now I get up at 3:45.

And you guys wonder why I am in bed by 8PM? Now you know...

But of course on weekends, all bets are off... Stay up late, get up early, burn the candle at both ends, and look forward to going back to work so you can catch up on your rest!!!

Yesterday was nice weather (76F) , and while I was outside enjoying it , I gave the Foamie a “Critical “ inspection ... and to be totally honest , I really couldn’t find anything different from when I built it ... No signs of any problems ... and it’s been sitting outside all this time in the weather subject to the forces of nature ...
And speaking of nature , the other morning , I got up and looked outside and saw some silly cowbirds (egrets) sitting atop my Foamie trailer :o ... (wish I had a camera) ... Goofy birds ... now I know where the bird poop came from ... Talk about “bird strikes “ ...

we had great weather yesterday also. we got up into the 60's. so i did an inspection on the foamie. the only bubbling is there on the front.

still working on the old man about letting me have money for a trailer. if he really says no, i am just going to redue my foamie. i will take it apart and start over.

hubby used my foam and tb3, covered in canvas. he is making sliding doors for his homemade shed. he is a thrifty person, like glen. he'll use anything laying around and make something out of it.

I like the way Hubby thinks !!! We are kindred spirits ...

Eagle , you really need to try ironing out those bubbles , just to see if it works for you and dispelling any rumors about the glue/canvas method ... or maybe try the boiling water method ... Put on a kettle and pour it over the bubbles ... Easy and can’t hurt a thing (just don’t burn yourself or anything else .) ... No chance of ruining that iron you don’t use ...

when i made the comment about not even knowing where the iron was, i wasn't serious. i honestly thought i knew where it was. but i did go look, and well i can't find it! i was going to try it yesterday. i will keep looking though. maybe someone here tried to use it and did not put it back where it belonged.

Sounds like my house .... a good bit of time is spent just searching for tools and bits that are not where they’re supposed to be .... All my fault really as I’m the only one in the studio using them ...

If the iron doesn’t turn up soon , just put a kettle on to boil .... I tried this trick on my mangled Foamie airplanes and the foam just popped back into shape , as if by Magic ... 8)

Pete , I don’t think a hair dryer would get hot enough ... It’s gotta’ be around 200F to work .. That may Burn hair ... I dunno’ I don’t have any left to dry ....

And past attempts to use a heat gun that was hot enough didn’t work as well as the boiling water trick .... for some reason as yet unknown to me ...

 i do have a heat gun. wonder if i can find that. (doubtful), but i will look for it also.

boiling water? wouldn't that be for what you used it for? what if my foam isn't mangled? would it then maybe melt my foam? i guess i could try that though. heck by the time i get the boiling water out there, it won't be boiling anymore, just really hot. i could give that a try.

hmm, i think simba is going thru his terrible two's. he has become very stubborn and rebelleous. he won't even do basic commands right now like sit.

Try a cookie ... Always worked for me ...

The boiling water will NOT melt the foam or hurt anything else on the trailer ... Just try it ... TRUST ME !!!! ;) If that doesn’t work I’ll be surprised ... and be sure to punch a small hole in the bubbled area so the air can esacape.. I’m also sure the iron would work too, if you can find it .... Might as well try it , only takes a few minutes ... saving hours of discussion...
