just another side note , when I talked with the HF Manager , he told me the thing that kept their trailer kits from selling was that they had to be assembled by the owner ... Said every one they assembled was sold right off the floor , and who assembled them , the lowest guys on the totem pole ... Did they repack the wheels ... er, NO .. they just “assembled” it ... Buyer Beware !!!
Bringing Hubby might be a good idea , salesmen less likely to BS a “guy” ... for fear of facial contortions later.. We guys do serve a purpose ... BS detectors ... we’ve certainly heard enough of it lately eh !!!
this must be a sign, hubby came home for lunch and said he's not going back. taking the rest of the day off. so he has to go get some hay for the ponies and then WE go shopping. yippee!
actually hubby did do the driving, and we drove home with the new trailer! i love it already, it sure is quiet back there. my other one shook, rattled and rolled. it made tons of noise. this one seems so much more stable, and did i mention quiet. and it came with a tongue jack. alrighty, i am a happy wife now. i also bought some wood for the frame for the floor. so as soon as the old man gets rid of the wood thats on there i can start.
Well, I just ordered my axles. Next week I am probably going to go camping for 5-7 days. I have most of the iron I need. Now just need to figure out what and how I am going to build what ever it is I am going to build.
is there a difference? the floor that sits on the frame, is what i am talking about, and that will be the inside of the cabin also. i keep going back and forth on the torsion box floor, but last night hubby screwed me up and said just slap down plywood and be done with it. but then i thought to just slap down core doors cut to fit and be done with it. so i just don't know what or how i am going to do this yet. maybe i have had 1 to many
i think i will start to get a much better feel once he who must obey removes the wood floors. then i can see what i am working with as far as where those cross panels are and how far apart and well you know what i am talking about. i guess i just need to see it, being the visual person that i am.
